Allow Altered Card Images

Being able to upload altered cards images, à la tappedout. - Ensioc#6121

How might this be moderated? I appreciate Moxfield being a family friendly site!

Could we have a simple report button at minimum? Possibly leverage an ML filter service that blocks obvious abuses?

how far away is this in the making? cant wait too showcase my APs++++

Am also eagerly awaiting this feature! Even if its directly opt in and custom images (alters/AP’s) are hidden by default.

Just throwing my thoughts out there for the sake of implementation as I desperately want this feature. This could be an “opt in” feature. When viewing someone’s deck that has altered card images there could be a popup of sorts that asks if you would like to view the deck with our without alters. Could also include a disclaimer here. Other (probably better) option:

Moxfield being family friendly is key, so like others have said a report feature would be great, but that requires more moderation. I think the safest bet is requiring users to manually go to their settings and enable this feature; with a disclaimer confirmation before enabling. Still… having some sort of report feature would be ideal.

Last idea is a spoiler style Reddit post. Similar to how banned cards are outlined in red in a decklist, the card could be outlined in green or some other color indicating that a brewer has added alternate card art for the card. Then the viewer can click on the 3 dot menu on the card to “show user submitted alternate art” or “show all alternate art for this decklist”

Yeah, I just noticed that too. I’m going to have to move one of my decks over to one of them because the whole deck is proxy alt arts.

This would be an absolutely insane feature to have. I personally love alters and getting both see my own and other peoples in their decks.

It would also be nice to have an easier way to incorporate foreign cards within your decks as well.
