I think of color pips as costing 1.5 mana in multicolor decks, due to the variance in drawing the right colors of mana sources. The difficulty of casting a 3, 4, or 5 color cost scales proportional to the number of distinct colors. Can we please provide a mana curve chart that accounts for this fact?
The current chart is more appropriate for colorless decks. I venture that a solid pip in a monocolor deck with access to colorless mana sources in practice costs 1.1 mana.
