There are over a 100,000 infinite combos in MTG. That’s a lot! However, the problem is that not everybody knows all of them. There might even be one in your deck and you don’t even know it!
However, I also understand that having over 100,000 of something can also potentially mean it’s a pain to create a database for within an already set system/environment, and it would have to be updated with every expansion.
But still…
The data is already out there, and having a section that just compares your decklist to the known infinite combos and then shows you the cards would be of great help. It would help for identifying lines in a cEDH deck that somebody else made, and it would help you find or eliminate them in your own decks (if you don’t want to play with it or want to be aware that something could cause a loop that cannot be controlled).
Just like the section that shows Tokens that is fed by the cards that have create token in your deck, you could have a combo section that simply looks to see if 100% of a any of the given combo lines is present in a deck, then spits out images of the cards, listing how many variations of combos there are.
Potentially, it could even be scripted to look for combos where you only need one additional card added to complete a combo line and make suggestions if it fits the colors of the deck.
Just a thought!
Sorry, forgot to add that sites like “https://commanderspellbook.com/find-my-combos/", “https://mtg.cardsrealm.com/en-us/combo-infinite/?card_format=17", and “https://edhrec.com/combos" list combos from a database.
