When I’m designing a new deck that involves cards in my collection as well as cards I don’t currently own I would like an easy way to copy a list of all the cards in the deck that are not in my collection so that I am left with a list of cards I need to order. Having a feature in the highlighting tool to do this would work well for this purpose.
I think this is a great idea. I noticed that in a deck list there is currently already a “Buy Deck” option under where there is an option for “Do not purchase cards from your collection” ; this is basically exactly what I think you are requesting here. Except, instead of sending the list of cards straight to e.g. TCG Player, etc., you just want Moxfield to simply print out the list of cards.
Considering that Moxfield already has several places in the Deck interface that prints out the list of cards, it seems like it should not be too hard to simply combine the exact same “Export” functionality with this “Include / Exclude cards from your collection” functionality.
I would love to see this feature because its an extremely common situation. For example you are working on a Commander deck list, you have ~80 of the cards, you are missing ~20 cards, and you want to shop for only those 20 missing cards on e.g. TCG Player, but currently you have to import all 100 cards into the external vendor store and then manually filter out the 80 cards you already have. A big pain! If this was bundled into the current “Export” settings then you would get the plain text list of cards that you can easily paste anywhere.
Maybe this could work as an option in the Group menu? I’d love to be able to “buy all” of a section more easily, without sorting out cards I don’t need in the seller’s bulk entry interface, or just see more clearly what I have vs what I need to get.
