Deck Price Snapshots

It would be incredibly useful if Moxfield allowed users to create a timestamped, immutable “price snapshot” of a decklist. This would lock in the deck’s TCGPlayer total at a specific point in time while preserving the exact 75 cards and pricing source.

This would be especially valuable for budget formats like Value Vintage, where tournament legality depends on a deck’s price at registration. Instead of relying on screenshots (which can be edited and are difficult to verify), tournament organizers could simply reference a Moxfield-generated snapshot or shareable link to confirm the deck’s price as of the registration date.

Alternatively, since deck version control is already in development, this could be integrated into that feature. Each saved deck version could optionally preserve the calculated deck price and pricing source at the time the version was created, giving users a verifiable historical record of both the decklist and its value.
This would reduce disputes, eliminate the need for manual screenshot verification, and provide a reliable solution for any event that uses deck price as part of its deckbuilding rules.
