Character Counter for Comments

Was asked to post this here. Is it possible to add a “character counter” to the comments? I had a situation the other day where I wrote a reply, and when I hit submit it gave me the error that my post was more than 2000 characters. Then I kept having to shave off words here and there, shorten other words, and keep clicking the submit button until it finally accepted it. I thought “I really wish I knew how many characters I was over by…”

Alternatively, hardcap the comment box to 2000 characters so you can’t even go over (though this would be annoying at times)
