Tools for Editing Decks - Cuts/Adds Flags

Y

In the dropdown menu for each card, I’d like to see an option to mark the card as “To Cut” and “To Add.” Marking a card as To Cut would either color the card name red, or add an icon next to the card (maybe red scissors or the minus sign that’s used in the Recent History section?), while marking a card To Add (most likely in Considering or Sideboard) would color the text green or gold, or could add a plus icon similar to that currently used in the Recent History section.

A bonus feature/addendum to this would be automatically color-coding or labeling with an icon all cards added to or removed from the Main Board recently (over some time period; either for the duration of the current session, a day, a few days, or until the user unlabels them).

Currently, we can use tags to do so, but can’t view cards labeled as such unless sorting to see tags, whereas I most prefer viewing the deck sorted by type and mana value. Some of the benefits of this change include:
-Greater visibility on intended deck changes when performing edits
-Greater visibility for others when discussing one’s deck with a friend or community
-If the Cut or Added cards retain their labeled color or icon, even after being moved between sections (Main Board, Sideboard, Considering), it would also make recent changes easier to parse.

In terms of implementation, this looks like it should be fairly easy to add, particular the “basic” concept of adding a label option to the dropdown on each card.

I’d love if Cut has a spot where you could link a card that it will be replaced with.
And Add to mark a card it’ll replace.

Then show an error state if there are more things to replace a card than there are in the list. Or multiple things being cut for the same card.

I’ve been thinking this for years. It would just be handy if the cards had a checkbox toggle with a scissors icon or something to visually flag it as a possible cut. I think the Considering board is plenty fine for Adds unless there was going to be a visual representation of which card it is intended to replace.
