Each user’s wishlist (moxfield.com/wishlist) contains specific card versions — foil or non-foil, different sets, etc.
When you generate a share link and someone else opens it, if they are not logged in and haven’t disabled the “Collapse multiple printings into a single card” setting, part of the list is displayed incorrectly. Many cards are shown as the version that was added first, rather than the version you added later, and obviously, several different specific versions of the same card that you actually need get collapsed into a single one.
This is extremely inconvenient and interferes with buying cards using a wishlist.
I experienced this today when I shared my wishlist in my LGS chat, asking if anyone had these cards for sale. Despite a bolded note before the link saying, “Guys, please log in to the site and disable ‘Collapse multiple printings into a single card’ in the settings,” none of the people who replied did so. Either they didn’t bother or simply didn’t read the text and opened the link out of habit.
As a result, everyone was very surprised to learn that I actually needed the foil version, since they saw the non-foil one in the list, and so on.
It’s extremely awkward to ask someone to register or log in and then change account settings just to correctly understand which cards you need. This leads to a lot of wasted time.
The same applies to decklists — it would be great if, by default, all cards were displayed exactly as intended. At least for non-logged-in users and for those who have customized their display settings in their account.
I strongly ask you to fix at least the wishlist, because otherwise there’s little point to use it and having the ability to share it if it can be displayed incorrectly.
Thank you. :)
