Custom Lists Within Decks

The “Considering” list is useful, but it isn’t flexible enough for some use cases. Being able to create other toggleable lists in addition to “Considering” would greatly expand the feature’s usability. Here are some example use cases:

  • If I’m updating my deck, I can make an “Add” list and a “Cut” list to track what changes I need to make once I have the new cards in my possession.

  • If I’ve ordered new cards for a deck but they haven’t been delivered yet, I can make a “Bought” list so I don’t get confused and accidently buy the same cards twice.

  • If my “Considering” list is getting unwieldy but I don’t want to delete everything on it and risk forgetting an important option, I can make a “Considering Right Now” list for the 3–5 cards I’m most likely going to try soon so they don’t get lost in the pack.

  • If I want a record of the cards I’ve already tried in the deck but might want to return to again someday, I can make an “Archive” list with all the cards I’ve cut over the years.

  • If I want to track which cards have been underperforming in recent games, I can make a “Chopping Block” list to keep an eye on them and decide whether I want to cut them or not.

I’m sure there are many more use cases — these are just a few things I’ve wanted to do but haven’t had the tools to do. Archidekt has some basic version of this feature, and I frequently see content creators make use of it in their videos, so I think it would be a great fit for Moxfield as well.

Love the idea of an add/cut list - and think it would be incredible to tie the cards together across the lists as well to remember my intent.

E.g. if I want to replace an abundant growth with a carpet of flowers - when I add carpet to the ‘add’ list, the UI might ask me to add something to the cut list and I can select from a dropdown in the current list.
